All this does for us is periodically show a red light and turn everything off. We have 6 items plugged in. It started doing this within a few days of use.
Yes, we have an old house and our wiring is not modern 200+ amp service (it’s 100 amp), but this is useless to provide any reliable battery backup.
Think twice if your house is not new or newly rewired.

This could not be more awesome! Works great. You will not believe the hair that makes up the “undercoat” of your dog! I have no complaints at all. It does exactly as it states. I have bought several brushes. This is by far the best. Well worth the money.

I picked this up not knowing a thing about it except the blurb, so I was pleasantly surprised to find this story of love and betrayal under the big top one of the most engaging tales I’ve read in a long while. I’m not much into romance, but this is so much more than that so I couldn’t pull myself away. As a bonus I learned about the dark side of the circus industry during that era. Gaslighting, where they throw the circus hands off the train in the middle of the night to avoid having to pay them, was a new term to me. Despite the cut-throat world they live in, the young veterinarian protagonist and the circus star he has a crush on, try to rise above it all at risk of life and limb.
What tops it off is the story has one of the most satisfying endings I’ve encountered in a long time. I’ve passed my book along to my mother and it has since gone through the hands of three of my sisters. They all loved it. I’m a big fan.

The book is meant to act as both an introduction to Elgg in general (it’s a locally managed social network that you can build) and to getting the software up and running on a LAMP or WAMP machine. By approaching the writing in this way, Sharma does a terrific job in scaling up the technical discourse as the book progresses. For example, the first few chapters outline some of the simple social networking features (friends list, profiles, tag clouds) for people who are new to the world of social networking.
Where the text shines is in it’s simple, yet effective scaffolding of difficulty as it progresses into more complicated functions of Elgg like customization of your profiles, CSS and in managing and installing plug-ins. The entire text is beautifully supported by helpful images that connect the particulars of a given passage to a concrete example.
Sharma’s writing style; direct, simple and clean, really help direct the reader through the text in a way that makes the digestion of all of these potentially new and exciting ideas seem easy.
My favorite section of this book is potentially the most complex section to write about, installing the software on a local machine in order to act as a server. The world of LAMP, (Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP) can seem daunting to new users setting up a computer. Sharma’s easy to follow text, littered with helpful illustrations makes the seemingly esoteric steps involved in setting up LAMP seem simple and manageable. Thanks for the great read! I know that when Elgg version 1.0 drops this summer, I’ll have this text handy as I set up a new install to play with!

Okay, first off i make it a point to not say anything about the plot, characters, etc. when writing a review on this site. However, let me say this, I watched the whole series, all 21 episodes, in 2 days…and yes i have a full time job! I could not stop watching! I found that this series, not unlike Gantz and a few other that i have recently picked up, was incredible. I would definitely suggest this to anyone who is even remotely into anime. And on a side note, i wounder if one of the animators work on Fooly Cooly (sp?). There were several scene where i noticed similarities

I bought this awesome Garmin a few weeks ago, and absolutely love it! I don’t leave home without it! There are a lot of cool features that I’m still learning about but it was so easy to start up right out of the box. The display is easy to read and you can set your own preferences for number of fields on each display screen. Comes with everything you need to connect to your PC. I haven’t tried the heartrate monitor yet but it, too, looks easy to use. I’ve worn it in the rain with no trouble. Battery life is great and it charges up from almost dead in a couple of hours. I love the “auto pause” when you have to stop for traffic or some other reason. It gets a satelite signal pretty quickly, within 1 or 2 minutes. I usually put it on my window sill while getting ready and it finds the signal from there. All in all, it’s a fantastic deal with the heartrate monitor!
