I have had this vac for about 4 years now and no problems at all. I like it. I had a vac that didn’t use bags and I swore I would never use one again. Messy. I do keep my vac clean. I have long hair and before I vac my bathroom I “rake” it with a rubber broom because I don’t want hair clogging or getting wrapped around the roller. I take it apart outside about once a year and clean it up. I’m getting one for my Dad.

I got this product so I could track my weight loss progress at home. I was especially interested in finding a accurate digital scale that was reading out the same (or very close) to the scale a the clinic where I weigh in. EatSmart Digitial scale is pretty close to the clinic scale so I’m happy with that.
I found however, that it’s best to leave the scale in one place and not have to move it or pick it up before you step on it. Whatever pressure your hand has on the scale when you move it gets added on to the weight reading. It kind of shocked me the first time or two I stepped on the scale until I figured that part out. Now I leave it in one place and I get accurate readings.

Colfer, E. (2001). Artemis Fowl. New York: Hyperion Paperbacks for Children.

Artemis Fowl is not only to tale of the ingenious and villainous Artemis Fowl, but also the Story of Captain Holly Short, the first female to protect the magical people by joining LEPrechaun force.

Artemis, whose mother is unwell since his father was lost in the Arctic, searches with his friend and protector, Butler, to restore the Fowl fortune. This leads Artemis into trouble with the magical world when he takes Holly hostage. From there Artemis must match wits with LEP’s best agents and one of the magical community’s sneakiest criminals.

The book allows students to question their own cultural norms, as humans are called Mud People and their (our) practices are called into question.

The story includes subtle environmental messages. It also blurs the lines between genres, as it includes both sci-fi and fantasy elements. But most of all, this is a fun series for the young action-adventure lover to become addicted to.

Plus, Artemis is a Mac user, the clever boy.

Activities to do with the book:

This is a book is a great adventure story to help to get students immersed in a story. It lends itself to role-play since students can have fun being a villainous and powerful child genius.

Since some complain that the Artemis Fowl books are hard to visualize, students could create their own illustrations to help with this or create their own adventures for some of the supporting characters.

Favorite Quotes:

“How does one describe Artemis Fowl? Various psychiatrists have tried and failed. The main problem is Artemis’s own intelligence. He babboozles every test thrown at him. He has puzzled the greatest medical minds, and sent many of them gibbering to their own hospitals” (p. 1).

“The Mud People destroyed everything they came into contact with. Of course they didn’t live in the mud anymore. Not in this country, at least. Oh no. Big fancy dwellings with room for everything–rooms for sleep

Add me to the list of satisfied customers for this product. I’ve used the cup to my nuvi, but was shelved in favor of the friction device. I often move my Nuvi between cars, making it a very easy process. There are enough grip on the mountain to prevent sliding and sufficient for adequate finger pressure on the touch screen to make selections without disrupting the GPS position. You can rotate the shaft 360 degrees, and even remove the stem to facilitate packaging, if you’re a traveler like me who use the nĂ¼vi into different rental cars.

Just got this scale, called them right away thinking maybe there is a problem with mine. A guy named Bill offered me help and resolved the problem. If you think yours doesn’t work, just call them.

Look no further, I wanted to find more information about this watch and do some more extensive research before my purchase. Then I stumbled onto this blog by DC Rainmaker and I was sold! This review was the most informative review I found so far. I’ve had the watch for almost a month now and I love it and got exactly what I expected from the review. Great training device, and most importantly I think the watch makes the running that much more fun.
